A floor liner, though similar to a floor mat, is much different. A floor liner is much more practical for things like protecting your carpet against the elements. If you are in a situation with snow, mud, grime or any kind of nasty material that you could track in, then we highly recommend going with a floor liner. If you are wanting something a little more simple, then you could easily go with a floor mat.
